- 8.15 Drive to airport via fuel stop, driving on Sunday is much easier, only lost once finding hertz parking
- Catania airport very busy but enough time. Lots of queues.
- Ryanair about 20mins late taking off.
- Felt like seats on Melbourne metro trains

- Met boonses (tired) and Luca driver at arrivals, awesome big Mercedes taxi van
- Dropped at docks/wharf thingy, Luca helped us all the way to the boats.
- Private taxi boat to Venice, fast and awesome

- Short walk to hotel (Hotel Saturnia) checkin. Very friendly staff, tall guy, Gday mate.
- Nice old rooms with bide
- Rooftop/vape garden
- Shower dressed and out to dinner at recommended restaurant from hotel (maybe check earby for name). Beef and mushrooms and veges. Home made limon cello. Bellicimo
- Walked to St Mark’s square and Sam got flowers from dodgy indian guy. Give them back!
- Giant pigeon eating seagulls
- St Mark’s baccilica tour. Amazing. Almost had whole church to ourselves. Light show not done during daylight hours but done for us.
- Incredible mossaic flooring everywhere
- Amazing egyptian like golden tablet huge, need to look up
- Also went down into lower level crypts.
- Afer tour Tide came in and flooded the square. Waiters with gumboots. Sam went through, we went around.
- Water is septic
- Nightcap at bar inside hotel. Sat next to young Americans and followed their lead with cocktails.
